Spring, with its precipitation and snowmelt, is a time of abundance in water. That is why we are pleased to offer you this workshop. A full day led by Reno Delaro, who has designed and built systems at his home that ensure rainwater autonomy for his family. Reno is an experienced teacher who has already shared his expertise with hundreds of people.

  • AM: Welcome, theoretical part, and facility tour
  • Lunch break (bring your lunch)
  • PM: Practical part: facility tour and system assembly.
Instructor: Reno Delaro

Designer, permaculturist, passionate about the living world. Reno made the choice in 2016 to return to his hometown region, Estrie, to raise his young family. He bought a house in Austin with his partner to live closer to nature. The renovation project led him to want to make his home more resilient by installing a rainwater collection system, dry toilets, a photovoltaic system, and landscaping the property to make it productive for food. Managing stormwater on the site is a major issue that opens the door to a multitude of opportunities and learning experiences. Furthermore, Reno helps homeowners convert their residences or establish new ones to promote good integration into their living environment. He is also involved in the community as a co-founder and manager of a buying group that allows more than 40 families from Brome-Missiquoi and Magog to access organic bulk food and promote mutual aid among members.
