Our vision
A bioregional transition hub in the Northern Green Mountains
A common trunk from which the many branches of the great tree of transition may grow
Deep roots and a solid anchoring in the land, a grassroots movement building a supportive and inspiring structure, bringing together a plurality of local initiatives around a common regional vision.
For more coherence and cohesion, unity and cooperation
Vibrant and thriving rural places, inhabited and stewarded by strong and resilient local communities : self-reliant yet interdependent, united in solidarity, and rich in shared expertise, ways of living, and their common good.
Being · Doing · Living
We bring together three complementary dimensions — practical skills, ways of being, and ways of living together — drawn from both competency-based learning and traditions of communal life, in order to approach resilience not merely as a technical capacity, but as a human and collective quality.
Interpersonal skills
Nurturing a prosocial presence and caring ways of relating — in service of the living world and the collective.
Practical skills
Preserving and developing the necessary skillsets to act concretely and respond to real needs.
Collective wellbeing
Because the goal is not to survive but to live well. Revisiting our ways to make life together desirable and meaningful.
All around us, a great diversity of citizens, collectives, and organizations are working to build a better world, but these efforts often remain fragmented, isolated, invisible. There is a lack of a common space to recognize each other, coordinate, and multiply the impact of our actions. This is what we are working on!
